Random thoughts and observations

Shelby is still forcing herself onto my lap of a night for cuddles…. I don’t really mind though, she’s just too cute… and warm.

I dropped my phone in the toilet a few days ago. Yeah. Big sad face. I was telling people I dropped it in some water to try and not be that person but then there were the questions about how I did it and I suck at lying… so now I’m just embracing my clumsiness for the hilariousness that it is. Yes, my phone fell out of my pocket and died a horrible death in the toilet. Yes, it is actually quite funny… except for the cost of replacing it…. and no, the bowl of rice didn’t work. Tried it. Failed.

I’m hoping to have a new phone soon and then I can get back to instagraming … this month I decided to give a photo-a-day challenge a go. I’ve always liked the idea of posting a photo every day but I’m terrible at remembering to do it. This one from ‘84th & 3rd‘ sounded like a lot of fun though… I mean, it’s about my favourite topic… food! I also had some photos to share with you all from our trip to the Eat Street Markets last weekend…. but…. yeah, they were on the phone.  So instead you’ll just have to imagine it. The Eat Street Markets are an asian style street food market in Brisbane and they are AWESOME! We feasted on dumplings and pork buns, empanadas and honey puffs, wine and craft beer…. and finished it all off with a lovely pork okonomiyaki. So if you are in Brissy on a Friday or Saturday night or Sunday afternoon, head over and check it out! I can’t wait until we can go again.

I’ve been taking a crustless quiche to work for breakfast each morning and it has been lovely to have something warming and filling to start the day with, especially with how cold it has been! I’m thinking next week I’m going to mix it up and take some Zucchini Slice.
